@steepsandstims @itsmyamygdala Apologies if it seemed otherwise. I would never advocate for planned ignoring but I do advocate for staying present and calm and supportive while your child is allowed to feel their emotions. Lots of parents seem to hear that as ignore them.

Forcing children to go repeatedly risks sensitising them to school, rather than desensitising them (as the school hopes). Think about it, what happens if you forced to go somewhere you really dislike, day after day. Do you start to love it? Or do you give up hope? 9/
