Most people don't want to understand how important it is to pay people in Congress a massive salary. Right now only the super rich and the grifters can afford to run for Congress. Make that salary one or two million and your next primary will be filled with extremely capable people and crazies but at least the the good people will have a chance and it will be massively entertaining.

Well obviously it's not illegal, but if I as a congressperson write a bill that I profit of off (in some quasi legal manner) and I don't tell my constituents that I funded it by buying treasury's with their social security it's not much different. Is it legal, sure. Is it the best we can do, probably not.

@Divided_W0rld @Fat_Electrician So if the Govt passes a slush fund bill, sells bonds to fund it and then buys those bonds with SS it's definitely not a slush fund. 🫡 An alternative would be to just give it it's own fund and balance budget it every year, but yeah that would be super not hard to do.

You're an idiot, do you think that cash is under their pillow? It's 6 BILLION DOLLARS they have an investment team churning it like a hedge fund, they're probably making north of 20% on it. They don't need a return on the movies as loss off sets the investment income, but if they get lucky they'll pocket the money. That's nice that you think you're important in their business model, but surprise! your not and they don't care.

Disney has 6 billion in cash, even if that only made a 10% return they could burn 600 million a year and not loose any principle. They are buying love in the industry and no longer care about profit or the audience. Every movie is a tax write off or a profit, the audience is irrelevant.

I spend most of my time over seas but I use community care in P'cola every time I come home. There's a pretty serious sports rehab clinic somewhere near Gulf Breeze that might have it (I think you mentioned before that you were in the panhandle) I just had my hip replaced (ceramic resurface) and I'm pretty happy I got it done. If you figure out how to fix the brain I could use that, my motivation stays at around 4 or 5 out of a 100 🤣

@amlivemon I live just north of Munich, the heat was so bad my neighbor started screaming at around 2am. ⚽️🤣🤣 I have AC and a team that didn't lose so I was able to go right back to sleep.

@Icehelmet That isn't remotely true. There's no AC units to buy, they've been sold out for months. If there were a 1000 at the store they'd be sold out in seconds. The market has been there for decades but the AC units aren't available, which is pretty odd unless there are import controls.

@Emilpo_is_down @RealUCBfosho With that name I'd assume so. But I've worked on both OSD and the on the Army Staff at the highest levels, I've seen and heard shit that does not inspire confidence in the system being meritocratic. But we can certainly agree to disagree 🫡
