1918: they sold radioactive water as a health tonic. It was radium, and it dissolved men's jaws. 1898: they sold heroin as a children's cough syrup. It was heroin. 1863: they sold cocaine wine as a daily pick-me-up. Popes and presidents put their names to it. 1946: they sold cigarettes on a doctor's recommendation. Whole campaigns ran on which brand physicians preferred. 1960s: they sold margarine as the heart-healthy fat. It was loaded with the trans fat that actually stops hearts. Every one of these came with an expert's blessing and total confidence. The people telling you today which fat to fear are the institutional descendants of the ones who put radium in your water and a doctor's face on a cigarette packet. "The experts recommend it" has a body count going back a century.

There are moments when a politician gives a speech. And then there are moments when a politician finally says what everyone else is too scared to say. Lindsey Graham’s defining moment came during the Kavanaugh hearings, when Republicans looked shell-shocked, Democrats smelled blood, and a Supreme Court nomination was being buried under a carefully staged political ambush. The room had become a surrender ceremony. Then Graham took his five minutes. He did not hide behind procedure. He did not outsource his outrage to staff. He did not mumble about norms while a man’s life was being destroyed on national television. He looked across the room and called it exactly what it was: an unethical sham. He accused Democrats of using Christine Blasey Ford, sitting on the allegation, destroying Kavanaugh’s name, and trying to hold the seat open until politics gave them a better outcome. That was the moment the hearing changed. Not because Graham discovered some new fact. Not because he produced a legal memo. Because he finally gave the truth a voice. He reminded Republicans they were not required to sit quietly while Democrats burned a man alive for power. He gave Kavanaugh room to fight back. He gave nervous senators cover. He gave millions of Americans the words they had been yelling at their televisions. Whatever else Lindsey Graham was, in those five minutes he was exactly what the moment demanded. No hesitation. When the news about GPT-5.6 broke, my stomach dropped. We've officially hit a wall with AI, and this could very well be the pin that pops the bubble. The entire global economy is riding on what happens next. Nobody is connecting the dots - let me explain: Right now, the entire economy is riding on one bet: AI succeeds. And almost nobody realises how exposed that leaves us. In Q1 2026, AI capex accounted for ~75% of US GDP growth, and companies are expected to pour $800B+ into AI this year alone. Strip out AI spending, and growth is effectively zero. Here's where things gets dangerous: The government just started gatekeeping AI. Fable 5 was pulled, GPT-5.6's release has been delayed for weeks, and now the government wants to approve access to frontier models "customer by customer." If the government keeps throttling AI, progress stalls (already happening). If progress stalls, the spending stalls. If the spending stalls, ~75% of GDP growth stalls with it. The entire economy has become one giant leveraged bet on AI's success. The irony about all of this is that AI worked so well and moved so fast that it became its own bottleneck.

Democrats are losing their minds because the Supreme Court said the word “temporary” actually means something has to end someday. Shocking, I know. For years they treated TPS like it was lifetime membership with benefits, and now that the Court told them 350,000 Haitians and a few thousand Syrians can actually be sent home, they’re acting like Trump personally invented deportation. Schumer called it cruel. Hakeem Jeffries and the rest staged a dramatic press conference on the Court steps like they were starring in a low-budget resistance movie. NYC’s boy mayor even vowed they would “not ever accept” the ruling while repeating a hotline number twice like he was organizing a protest instead of governing. Meanwhile, the actual decision was simple: federal law gives the DHS Secretary the power to end temporary status, and it explicitly says there’s no judicial review of that call. The Court didn’t “unshackle” anything. They just stopped letting activist judges play immigration czar from the bench. The funniest part? Every time these people sue Trump to block something, they drag the case up the ladder until SCOTUS settles it. And when they lose, it doesn’t just go away ... it becomes precedent. So congratulations to the lawfare crowd. You didn’t trap Trump. You spent years carefully forging him better legal armor and then got mad when he put it on. Keep suing everything. The things written here run contrary to the overwhelming majority of texts about the agreement between the United States and Iran—both in their content and in their temperature. They are a cold, cool analysis, not fire and brimstone. They are based on a conversation with a highly knowledgeable source, deeply versed in Israel-US relations. You don’t have to accept them, but they’re worth reading. On days like these, it won’t hurt to take a deep breath and think. It all begins with the US midterm elections, to be held in about four months. For Donald Trump they are especially decisive. If he loses the House to the Democrats—even if Republican control of the Senate is preserved—he’ll spend the last two years of his term under endless investigations and an impeachment attempt. There’s no doubt he’d be impeached, because in the House, unlike the Senate, only a simple majority is required. For Trump this would be his third impeachment. The fall of the regime in Iran or the removal of the uranium would help him partially, but a surge in energy prices means an almost certain loss in the elections. The president of the United States had two decisive cards to play. The first: a ground operation to remove the uranium—but Trump believed that at the end of the road he could always get the material out via a deal. The second: destroying Iran’s energy facilities. That’s what he meant in April when he threatened to erase Iranian civilization. In Israel they used a different expression: in Tehran they’ll go back to lighting their homes with candles. The problem, the source says, is that in this country there aren’t even ten people thinking about what a global energy crisis would mean. For Trump, this is the main thing on his mind. Would Iran be dramatically weakened by such a strike? Certainly. Would it definitely fall before the first week of November 2026? No responsible person can guarantee that. What this means is that the Iranian retaliatory strike would cause an energy crisis with oil at two hundred dollars a barrel, and from there, like a rapid chain of dominoes—inflation, loss of the House, impeachment. The same goes for the blockade: even assuming it continues to weaken Iran, it means fuel in America reaches six dollars a gallon and inflation climbs further before the regime has even fallen. So Trump is, in fact, fighting the Iranians with one hand tied—without the Kurdish invasion, without a ground operation, and without striking the energy infrastructure, at least until the elections. And so the deal was born. This is not a nuclear agreement but a deal about Hormuz.
