Real Betis fans threw thousands of stuffed toys onto the pitch at half-time yesterday 🧸
It's an annual tradition to make sure disadvantaged children don't go without a gift at Christmas ❤️🎁
Spending the afternoon with my 18 month old at our local Leighton Buzzard church Christmas tree festival and spotted ones supporting @childrensociety and Macmillan, so wonderful
Good luck to everyone today with their #MacmillanCoffeeMorning today both a lovely and important event sharing not only very impressive homemade cake but the importance of health and wellbeing
Cary Cooper (@ProfCaryCooper), a professor at the University of Manchester, says that 20 years ago the leading cause of absence at work was backache — now it’s stress, anxiety and depression.
“It was 57% of all long-term sickness absence. During the pandemic it rose to 63%.”
Really interesting report, absolutely correct that having good emotional support and feelings of connectivity support productivity, and also protective factors to ensure workplace wellbeing (both individually and collectively)
New research: 1) lacking a sense of meaning & low emotional support are strongly related to feeling stretched too thin; 2) people who feel connected to colleagues are 3x more likely to report they kept pre-pandemic levels of productivity: sloanreview.mit.edu/article/what-y… Via @lizandmollie
A good article, creating a structure and culture of learning, with everyone empowered to be able to draw on the learning in practicable and accessible way is crucial. Learning packages alone are not enough, we need to be clear on the why, what and how
We love this radical approach to improving wellbeing: instead of asking "what’s the matter with you?" we should focus more on "what matters to you?" 👏

Too often young people and young adults are demonised or portrayed negatively for their choices. A great article showing just how special they are. Be curious, understand others
Good listening is both art and skill, and absolutely essential. Too often we don't mindfully do it. 2020-21 moved us more into the digital meeting world where we are forced to listen more. Now we need to become exceptional at it. Be curious, listen more
"The best kind of influence happens silently, gradually and unnoticeably – one conversation, one insight, one action, one nudge at a time."
And yes, it is a by-product, not a goal! #Influence#Leadership

Great outline. There are so many types of talents to be honoured in our work environments, alongside effective leadership. In L&D we need to find ways to support the nuturing of all those talent types and lead them to feeling skilled, confident and creative, as well as valued
We sometimes hold people who aspire to senior leadership roles in higher esteem than those who don't. Here are 25 talents to be honoured & celebrated, often shown by colleagues who might not aspire to be senior leaders katenasser.com/career-25-incr… By @KateNasser#100RepeatTweets no.36

Huge thanks to the @harpendentrust volunteers & NHS staff for their friendly and humorous tone for vaccines today. Communities coming together to support each other, taking human approach, and saving lives. Thank you
Great insight & a change that is happening already. The move from monitor to role model leader of culture, approach and collaboration is important; it requires right skills, ethos and openness that creates person-centred working. This is the potential strength of middle managers
The traditional role of mid-level managers (monitoring productivity, performance, etc) is shifting. Instead of being stuck in the middle, the role's evolving to building teams & connecting the people who are the lifeblood of the organisation: hbr.org/2021/05/its-ti… V @HarvardBiz
