DC’s @WMATA system is getting over $876M, a big boost to stay open & operating! The federal funds will keep workers paid & buses & trains running on a limited schedule as they are needed for essential trips. Good news for those who rely on transit! Congrats to @MayorBowser & all!

@wmata When drivers think being early doesn’t matter: Miss my bus as it was 2 minutes early at stop and passed me. Wait 10 mins for next. It gets swiped by car, all off. Wait 4 minutes for next one. Finally get to transfer point, miss bus as it pulls out when we pull in.

Maryland provides more to Metro than any other jurisdiction & we have a right to demand transparency & accountability. Unbelievably, WMATA continues to demand massive amounts of funding while simultaneously refusing to provide valid, detailed financial accounts. Enough is enough.
