I find it interesting that office vacancy in San Francisco is still hovering around 35% YET residential rents have shot up 11.5% yoy as of August 2025.

More SF crime stats... 86% decline in vehicle break in's since the 2022 peak!! Brooke Jenkins > Chesa Boudin. Other factors: Prop 36, SB 905 & CHP crack downs. Leadership + policy = safer streets!

Actually not true — the leaseholders in the UK have been getting more rights and can essentially force an arbitrated sale of any freehold encumbering their leasehold. Given that certain criteria is met. Furthermore, the directionality of legislation is increasingly toward the eventual elimination of freeholds. For example: many newly negotiated leaseholds must be 990 years. They are trying to put the power back in the hands of end users.

@credealjunkie Many times! Its in the Llanos Orientales... a vast tropical plains. Its a magical part of Colombia steeped in beauty and culture.. way off the beaten path. Not many gringos there! Actually just me and a few missionaries. Though the real estate is surprisingly overpriced!
