@whittlz @zulfat4council @freddieoconnell So, take her name off the sponsor list for a bad amendment, but still vote for it. Then vote for an amendment to fix the bad amendment she took her name off of (but still voted for). Why not just go with Taylor's? Why still vote for this one?

@csilverandgold It's more about whether Rs have the gavel. If they do, the next two years will be laptop investigations and impeachment hearings. In their minds, revenge for J6 committee and the Trump impeachments. That's before even getting to debt ceiling shenanigans.

@je_brannon @elwasson @PramilaJayapal There's no evidence for that. In 2013 the GOP shutdown the government for weeks went on to gain seats in 2014. There's not any direct correlation between passing a bill and the next elections results.

@NC5PhilWilliams But your argument (1) assumes that the LPRs reduced crime - something that you have produced no evidence in support of. It also suggests that (2) disagreeing with you about the value of LPRs is the equivalent of thinking that crimes shouldn't be solved.

@danielahorwitz I think it's because the average person lacks the time, money, or information. Plainly, they don't think it will be worth the trouble. That said, if you already had an answer in mind why even ask the question? Just say, "As a lawyer I think people should hire more lawyers"
