The importance of training multi-sport athletes during the season can’t be overstated ‼️ If a coach doesn’t make time for their athletes to train, it’s ≈3 months of the year those kids aren’t getting it. Take that over a 4-year HS career… an ENTIRE YEAR of missed training!
Practice until they can’t get it wrong. 7th Graders have come a long way this semester. The goal is not adding as much load as possible with young kids. Technical mastery comes first—load is irrelevant until they can control it. Strength will follow precision.
This is something @SmallTownSpeed talks about a lot! If your season lasts 3 months, over the course of a 4 year high school career you’d miss out on a whole year of development. 🤯 Not to mention how much you’d lose out on if you were a multi-sport athlete missing multiple seasons of training a year. Training in season isn’t just a box to check. It literally helps you pursue your best! 💪🏻⚡️

MS Girs State XC, 5 girls 5 medals, 5 PRs, highlight Addy Franck 20th overall 6th for 7th grade girls.
Many personal bests tonight at conference, highlights MS Addy Franck gets 10th overall and HS Whitney Brady 5th and breaks the school record held by her teammate with a time of 20:54. State Qualifier next week and MS State this Saturday!
