@MagnusL3D @jaymojamieson Did this effect for a film in blender. remake 3d coordinates as polar coordinates in each axis, then reassemble the axis together. You can then plug the result into whatever noise or 3d texture you want. I would take either generated or object coordinates as a starting spot.

VFX Pro Tip: If you're battling a specific effect and just can't get it right, but it's mostly finished, most people won't even realize that it's "bad/unfinished" and will often like it just as much anyway. Effects I criticized myself about, were effects others loved the most.
