I know nearly every farm has a gully that keeps opening up after a heavy rain. Typically all the loose soil from as deep as you till gets washed away. The water carries it away just like a conveyer belt. The only correct way to repair it is to fix it and not disk it. @IowaNRCS

Definitely an option some producers in livestock country should consider if they have fields that are getting pretty beat down, low organic matter and struggling to produce grain. Most Iowa soils grow grass really well and begin recovering quickly! x.com/icebox40/statu…
This degraded soil was unprofitable for row crop production. It is being transitioned to grazing.
