As a Tesla fanboy who loves my Model Y and has done countless long drives in it, we (@GetHash9 - Owner 😀) took the Cybertruck on a 2,500-mile long drive. Here’s my detailed experience: Drive Route: Denver → Kansas City → St. Louis → Louisville → Nashville → Memphis → Little Rock → Joplin → Wichita → Denver Miles Driven: 2,500 Cost: $522.36 Positives: 1.FSD, FSD, FSD! Version 13 is a peak into the future. Out of 2,500 miles, we only drove about 700 miles manually—the rest was FULL FSD! 2.Comfort: The spacious seating makes long drives incredibly comfortable. Negatives: 1.Range: The range is horrible. At max, we got 200 miles per charge, mostly due to highway speeds. •Driving at 75–80 mph meant we had to take 45-min breaks every 2.5 hours, adding significant time to the trip. •It’s frustrating when you’re getting 70–80 kW charging speeds on a 250 kW supercharger. •If the battery can’t handle higher speeds after 80–90%, how will they manage when superchargers upgrade to 350 or 500 kW stations in the future? 2.Charging Cost: We spent $522.36, which is at par with ICE cars. •No flexible pricing at most stations, even at 12:45 am when I was the only one charging. Price was $0.38/kWh! •Charging time is LONG. Each charge took 45 mins to 1 hour due to the larger battery size and throttling issues even below 50%. Conclusion: I LOVE Tesla, but the Cybertruck isn’t ready for long drives until they: 1.Fix the range issues. 2.Reduce charging costs—current prices make EVs as expensive as ICE cars for road trips. Still, FSD was a glimpse into the future, and I’m hopeful for improvements! @wholemars @elonmusk @Tesla @aelluswamy @Teslarati @ryanshawtech
