@Rhino11011 @AvidCommentator 15% tax would only be paid on 1/4th of any gain (yes incl. franking credit refunds) in the Fund. Because the excess is 1M/4M. Accordingly, only approx. 3.75% tax would be paid on the gain by each account holder. If they make 10%, $400k each, only ~$15k in tax would be payable /2

@Rhino11011 @AvidCommentator Yes, those are Fund earnings; just like interest or dividends. Usually the refund is franking credits. Also it is only a marginal percentage that is taxed. So a hypothetical couple with $8M in Super, evenly held ($4M each), would pay a very small %age in tax on the earnings. /1
