I agree with everything in this thread, the QA process in academic (in my experience) was pretty poor in hindsight, and quite often data science work is lead by supervisors who have never written a line of code! What’s the solution when academics already have so little time?
@g_progesterone I agree with you but I experienced some groups not wanting to share code or data externally incase ‘someone steals it” 🙄 And I think as a beginner I was absolutely mortified sharing anything so I tried not to for as long as possible which wasn’t helpful 🤦🏻♀️
