@MamaPee__ Thank you. Our security agencies must channel more of their energy toward fighting insecurity and securing Nigeria. We must not ignore the major challenges facing our country. We need a Nigeria where saving lives and protecting communities become the primary priorities of our security agencies. With people like Mama P consistently speaking out for justice and accountability, there is every reason to believe that Nigeria can be great again. God bless Nigeria. 🇳🇬
"All these security operatives here, don't you have any other work to do? They should be in the bush going after kidn@ppers, our school children and teachers are still in captivity. Is Sowore a båndit?" — Mama Pee speaking this morning at the Federal High Court Abuja.
“Why’re you people here ? Una no get work? All security agents should be inside bush right now looking for the k!dnapp£d children and teachers! DSS, is Sowore the b@nd!t? DSS, leave federal high court and go to the bush, go and save our children” Mama pee shouts on the security officials guarding the federal high court gate and preventing them from going inside this morning
Good policies are not explained—they are felt by the people.
We were told that we are the leaders of tomorrow, but it seems that tomorrow is not coming anytime soon. One reason is that many young people continue to help the politicians of yesterday and today remain in power. As long as some youths keep assisting politicians in manipulating electoral processes and undermining democracy, the leadership of tomorrow that we were promised may never come. The future belongs to the youth, but that future can only become a reality when young people choose integrity over short-term gains and stand up for free, fair, and credible elections. If we truly want to lead tomorrow, we must start protecting democracy today.
Reducing the salaries of existing staff simply because you want to employ new workers should never happen, especially when those workers are not being paid a living wage in the first place. Paying anyone below the minimum wage should be considered unacceptable and, where applicable, a violation of labour laws. The reports of the Taraba State Sanitation Agency reducing the salaries of street sweepers from ₦15,000 to ₦10,000 are deeply concerning and condemnable. These are hardworking Nigerians who already earn very little for the important services they provide. Cutting their salaries further only adds to their hardship at a time when the cost of living continues to rise. If we truly value dignity in labour, then workers deserve fair wages, respect, and better working conditions—not salary reductions that make survival even more difficult.
It is disappointing that the Presidency would use its official platforms to describe the criticism of Peter Obi as “childish.” In 2014, the current President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was one of the strongest critics of the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. He made strong statements and demands, including calls for accountability, yet there was never a time the Presidency responded by dismissing him as childish. Criticism is a normal part of democracy. Those who hold public office should expect scrutiny, especially during difficult times. At this critical moment in our nation’s history, I believe the President should focus on delivering good governance and addressing the challenges facing Nigerians rather than engaging in efforts that may be perceived as attempts to silence or discredit critics. A strong democracy is not one where everyone agrees with the government; it is one where citizens can freely express their views and leaders respond with results. Nigeria deserves good governance, accountability, and the freedom for every citizen to speak without fear.
Obi’s call for President Tinubu’s resignation childish and an unwarranted distraction. 1/2
Having someone from your tribe as president does not automatically guarantee good governance. When choosing a leader, we should focus on competence, compassion, character, and a genuine willingness to serve the people—not simply on tribe, religion, or ethnicity. What Nigeria needs is a leader with a good heart, a clear vision, and the capacity to deliver results, not someone who simply wants power or wants to become president at all costs. No matter where a candidate comes from, Nigerians should look beyond tribal sentiments and focus on electing competent and qualified people into positions of leadership. That is how we build the Nigeria of our dreams.
The Presidency appears to be upset because the presidential candidate of the NDC, Peter Obi, called for the resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is important to understand that many of the criticisms being made today are not new to Nigerian politics. Similar criticisms and demands were made by opposition figures, including Bola Tinubu himself, during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. It is also important for Nigerians to remember that the current President was one of the leading figures of the opposition movement that challenged the government of the day and ultimately contributed to a historic political transition. That is why we must continue to speak up, peacefully and lawfully, in pursuit of a better Nigeria. We should not allow those who exercised their right to criticize previous governments to deny others that same right today. A healthy democracy thrives on accountability, constructive criticism, and the freedom of citizens to express their views without fear. The journey toward a better Nigeria must continue.
After seeing what happened today at the Federal High Court in the case involving Omoyele Sowore and the Federal Government, all I can say is that our government and security agencies should focus more attention on the growing insecurity across the country and less on matters like this. I remember February 17, 2026, when we peacefully marched to the National Assembly to demand the passage of the Electoral Bill. On that same day, we were tear-gassed by the police. Also present was Omoyele Sowore, who encouraged young Nigerians to continue speaking up and participating in the democratic process. We must build a country where citizens can freely express their opinions, peacefully advocate for change, and exercise their constitutional rights while also respecting and obeying the law. A strong democracy is one where people can speak without fear and where institutions protect both security and fundamental freedoms. Good bless Nigeria 🇳🇬
It is painful that the leaders of tomorrow are now working for the leaders of today—leaders who, in many cases, do not seem to have a clear plan for their future. That is why selling your vote should never be an option. Your vote is your voice, your power, and your opportunity to shape the future. The moment you sell it, you surrender your right to demand accountability from those you elected. The future of Nigeria is worth more than any amount of money offered during an election. Do not sell your vote.
It is that time of the year again when some Nigerian politicians will start playing the ethnic, tribal, and religious cards just to divide the people. Unfortunately, many Nigerians still fall for this old trick every election cycle. Remember, bad governance does not know tribe. Bad governance does not know religion. Hunger does not know ethnicity. Insecurity does not ask where you come from before it strikes. The consequences of bad leadership affect everyone. Let us not allow ourselves to be divided by tribe or religion when our common challenge is the need for good governance. Nigeria will only move forward when we choose competence, character, and accountability over ethnicity and religious sentiment.
I don’t like it when people say, “Nigeria can never get better again” or “Nigeria is gone.” I always ask: Who told you that? As long as there are Nigerians who still believe, still speak up, and still work for a better future, there is hope. In my generation, Nigeria will be good again—and even better. I believe that with all my heart. 🇳🇬
I read in Punch Newspaper that kidnappers released their victims after Sunday Igboho issued a two-hour ultimatum. I am using this opportunity to plead with Uncle Sunday Igboho to please help us put pressure on those who kidnapped the schoolchildren in Oyo State so that they can be released and reunited with their families.
With what many people have described as a joke in the name of an election in Ekiti State, I hope Nigerians are truly preparing for the 2027 elections. From what we are seeing, it appears that not only are many Nigerians unprepared, but our electoral system is also not inspiring the level of confidence that citizens expect. If we want credible elections in 2027, we must start paying attention now. We cannot wait until election day before demanding transparency, accountability, and integrity from all stakeholders. Democracy only works when the people are vigilant and when electoral institutions earn the trust of the citizens they serve. The time to prepare for 2027 is now.
As we celebrate Father’s Day today, I want to wish every real father out there a Happy Father’s Day. And by real fathers, I do not mean mere sperm donors. I mean the responsible fathers who nurture, guide, protect, and provide for their families; the men who are raising the leaders of tomorrow and working tirelessly every day to give their children a better future. I also want to spare a thought for that father in Oyo State whose children are still in the bush with their kidnappers. My prayers are with him and every parent going through the pain of uncertainty. I pray that the government acts swiftly and decisively to secure the release of those children and that they return home safely to their families. To every responsible father out there, thank you for all that you do. Happy Father’s Day once again. God bless Nigeria. 🇳🇬
According to reports by Punch Newspaper, the President reportedly advised media leaders to remove stories about terrorism from newspaper front pages. If that is indeed the proposal, it raises an important question: can reducing the visibility of terrorism in the media contribute meaningfully to solving the insecurity facing the country? The fundamental issue is that terrorism is not a media problem; it is a security problem. Removing reports from front pages does not remove terrorists from our forests, communities, or highways. It does not address the root causes of insecurity, nor does it bring relief to victims and affected families. A lasting solution requires confronting and defeating those responsible for the violence, restoring security in vulnerable areas, and ensuring that citizens can live without fear. Public awareness of the problem may be uncomfortable, but obscuring it is not the same as solving it. Of course, the President has access to intelligence and security briefings that many of us do not, and he may have reasons for believing this approach could be helpful. However, from my perspective, it is difficult to see how reducing media coverage of terrorism advances the broader goal of ending the threat itself. Perhaps there are considerations unknown to the public. If so, one can only hope that they form part of a comprehensive strategy that delivers real and lasting security for Nigerians. May God protect us all, and may our efforts remain focused on addressing the problem itself rather than merely reducing its visibility. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 🇳🇬
A few days ago, the President and the FCT Minister presented 40 houses to Court of Appeal judges as a goodwill gesture. As much as this is a commendable initiative, I would like to respectfully appeal to the President and the Minister to consider extending similar gestures to other groups who have dedicated their lives to serving our nation. I am referring to retired police officers, lecturers, teachers, principals, and especially doctors—men and women who have sacrificed so much for Nigeria and contributed immensely to nation-building. If this kind of support can be extended to them, it would not only improve their welfare but also boost morale and encourage a greater spirit of service among those currently serving. From reports, billions of naira were invested in the housing project for the judges. While I acknowledge that the judges deserve recognition and support, I believe it would be even more impactful if similar investments were made across other critical sectors. This is simply my opinion. I am not suggesting that the Court of Appeal judges do not deserve these houses—they absolutely do. I only believe that the government should broaden such interventions to include other public servants who have also contributed significantly to our country’s development. Some Nigerians have raised concerns and speculated about the motives behind the gesture, with some even suggesting it could be an attempt to influence the judiciary. Personally, I do not subscribe to that view. However, expanding such initiatives to other sectors would help eliminate suspicion and demonstrate that the government values all who serve the nation. Nigeria will be better when we recognize and reward service across every sector, not just a few.
If this is true, then the North is in trouble

Nigerians have spoken. Nigerians have protested. Nigerians have demanded action. Yet, after 35 days, our schoolchildren and their teachers are still in the bush with terrorists. What else can we do? Should the people themselves enter the bush in search of their children? While we acknowledge the efforts of our security agencies, we respectfully ask for greater urgency and more effective action that will produce results. Every passing day is another day of pain, fear, and uncertainty for the families involved. My prayer is that one day we will have a country where every citizen feels safe, where children can go to school without fear, and where Nigerians can travel freely without constantly worrying about their security. God bless our dear nation, Nigeria. 🇳🇬
34 days. Still no answers. Thirty-four days in captivity. Children, teachers, and families are still waiting for freedom, while loved ones wait for news. Every day in captivity is one day too many. Where are they? #BringThemHomeNow #WhereAreThey #EndKidnappings
When people around the world talk about Nigerians, they often have beautiful things to say about us. They describe Nigerians as accommodating, hardworking, resilient, intelligent, and resourceful people. They speak of our excellence in education, business, sports, entertainment, and many other fields. Everywhere Nigerians go, they find a way to stand out and make a positive impact. Yet, despite all these qualities, we somehow continue to elect some of the worst among us to lead us. That is the question every Nigerian must answer: Why do we keep electing the wrong people to lead us? How can a people so talented, so hardworking, and so gifted in every area of life struggle so much when it comes to choosing good leaders? We excel in almost everything we do, but when it comes to leadership and governance, we continue to fall short. Until we honestly answer that question and change our approach, the Nigeria of our dreams may remain out of reach. Justice can never be cracked.
