91% Of Democrats Oppose @realDonaldTrump Tariffs Targeting Countries Using Forced Slave Labor dailytorch.com/2026/07/91-of-… On July 23, President Donald Trump announced a crackdown on countries that have failed to demonstrate they do not use forced labor in their production practices and levied steep tariffs on 60 economies ranging from Algeria to Brazil, Venezuela, and Vietnam. The crackdown came after the United States Trade Representative investigated the acts, policies, and practices of 60 economies under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974. The investigation determined that these 60 economies failed to demonstrate they prohibit the importation of goods produced wholly or in part with forced labor. In response to the findings, President Trump announced steep tariffs ranging from 10 percent to 12.5 percent on the countries. A majority of the countries that failed to demonstrate their commitment to prohibiting forced labor received a 12.5 percent tariff, including Vietnam and China. Seventeen countries that demonstrated a moderate level of protection against forced labor received the 10 percent rate, including the United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico. Early polling on the new tariffs combating slave labor reveals that Democrats will go to any length to oppose any action taken by President Trump, even when that action sets a global standard for opposing forced labor. The latest Economist/YouGov survey from July 25–27 reveals that Americans are still wary of the impact of tariffs, but the new tariffs targeting countries that use forced labor are more popular than the previous tariffs that applied a 10 percent penalty across the board. Republicans support the Trump tariffs against forced labor by a sweeping 57 points, 72 percent to 15 percent. Trump voters support the tariffs by 51 points, 70 percent to 19 percent. Democrats oppose the tariffs combating forced labor by a startling 88 points, 91 percent to just 3 percent.

If Senate Won’t Pass SAVE America Act, Just Deport Aliens Who Registered To Vote And Remove Them From The Rolls dailytorch.com/2026/07/if-sen… @realDonaldTrump @VP @SecMullinDHS @SpeakerJohnson @LeaderJohnThune President Donald Trump is asking the Senate to abolish the Senate filibuster and adopt the SAVE America Act to get illegal aliens off of the voter rolls and to require proof of citizenship to register to vote from now on, citing over 250,000 non-citizens are illegally registered to vote in California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Nevada alone. So far, the Senate is saying there aren’t the votes to abolish the filibuster. What can be done in the interim, then? Anyone registering to vote in the United States fills out the form under penalty of perjury, including the section where they check off if they’re a U.S. citizen. Meaning, any non-citizens registering to vote, whether they are legal or illegal aliens, are definitely breaking the law — and that would be grounds for deportation under the Immigration and Nationality Act. Under the Help America Vote Act and the National Voter Registration Act, those aliens being deported should be removed from the rolls. Specifically, anyone who moves out of a state is subject to removal from the voter rolls of that state if they die or change their address. That’s it, death and change of address. Well, deportees are definitely getting their addresses changed. From there, either the person has to notify the state that they no longer live there — maybe they sign a sworn statement, perhaps in the form of a plea deal from having falsely registered in the first place and upon being deported that says they’re moving, and then that gets forwarded to the state and off the rolls they go. Or for those already deported, the U.S. Postal Service can verify it. Otherwise, guidelines from the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division in 2024 say that improper registrations can be removed from the voter rolls: “Finally, States can remove people who were ineligible or improperly registered in the first instance.” And so for those cases, the Justice Department can sue the states that refuse to scrub their voter rolls of provable non-citizens. It appears, then, there is enough of a basis to clean up states’ voter rolls of non-citizens, provided they can be minimally identified. Federal law provides that states should have their voter rolls cleaned up 90 days prior to the election. With Election Day on Nov. 3, 2026, that means that states have until Aug. 5 thereabouts to clean up their voter rolls. Time’s almost up for 2026 to have the voter rolls cleaned. Better get cracking or else 2028 won’t look much better.

President Trump’s slate of tariffs on foreign products, including now those targeting countries that use forced labor, are encouraging companies to manufacture a variety of products in the U.S., with the Institute for Supply Management’s Purchasing Managers’ Index hitting a four-year high in May. The other half of the equation is the robust series of tax cuts the president has signed into law. President Donald Trump signed the Working Families Tax Cuts on July 4, 2025, as part of H.R. 1, and the legislation has already reduced taxes for over 12 million small business owners by roughly $7,000 each, according to the U.S. Department of the Treasury. According to a new report from the National Association of Manufacturers, the tax cuts President Trump signed into law last summer have already saved close to six million jobs across the United States — close to the population of the entire state of Maryland. In addition, the tax cuts have protected $540 billion in wages. According to the report, all 50 states have seen thousands of jobs protected, as well as wages and GDP saved, through the provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts. These provisions include full expensing for equipment and machinery, upfront expensing for research and development (R&D), and full deductions for businesses that create new factories or expand existing facilities. The result has been a manufacturing boom that can be measured across all fifty states.

What changed? The U.S. and Israel resumed their offensive against Iran, arguably which began with June 2025’s Operation Midnight Hammer to destroy its nuclear facilities, and inflation has consequently reheated. The cost of living remains a problem, with record property values and rents, and that has always been a foothold socialists can use to gain power. What kind of socialism? Some iterations call for abolishing private property, religion, sex, race, class and other distinctions that lead to perceived inequalities. Others call for ownership of the means of production. And so forth. Never mind that the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments state that no person can be deprived of property without due process of law — effectively rendering communism’s core mission unconstitutional — committed socialists won’t mind it, either. Dissatisfaction With Democrats Has Spiked Among Voters Under Age 44 Since 2022 dailytorch.com/2026/07/dissat… Democrats are ahead in the generic congressional ballot by an average of 4.7 percentage points according to the latest Real Clear Polling data, a 3.4-percentage-point decline since May. While the race is narrowing, data on favorability indicates that voters under age 44 view the Democratic Party significantly less favorably heading into the 2026 general election than they did in 2022. The largest decline in support has occurred among millennial voters ages 30–44, many of whom now have families. In the latest Democratic Party tracker data from YouGov, which surveys 1,055 to 2,440 registered voters and has tracking data dating back to 2017, Democrats have lost substantial ground among millennials. The GOP has mostly held steady and even gained modest ground, indicating that the last four years — which saw the transition from the Biden administration to the Trump administration — have weakened support for Democrats, but not Republicans. The Democratic Party has gone from a net favorable rating of +6.4 points in the summer of 2022 among millennials to a net approval rating of -17 points in the latest survey. Democrats are currently underwater by just over 17 points, with 56.4 percent of voters holding an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party and only 38.7 percent holding a positive view. This is a steep decline compared to four years ago, when the Democratic Party held a net favorable rating of +6.4 percentage points, with 48.4 percent approving of the party and 42 percent disapproving. Overall, Democrats have suffered a 23.4-percentage-point decline in favorability among millennials.

Double The Grid? The news comes amid President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign promise to double U.S. electricity generation and bring prices down as demand skyrockets in the age of artificial intelligence and data centers, as well as with renewed high-tech manufacturing in the U.S. At a Potterville, Mich. Rally in August 2024, President Trump said, “For us to compete successfully with China and others on AI, we’re going to need twice the electricity that we currently produce.” But at current rates — a 2.8 percent increase — it would take more than 20 years for electricity generation to double in the U.S., nowhere close to the President’s goal, all the while electricity prices jumped 4.6 percent in 2025, although to be fair, that’s now down to 4 percent past 12 months as of June, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. The biggest sector gains in electricity generation were coal, from 652.156 billion kWh in 2024 to 737.151 billion kWh in 2025, or a 13 percent increase; and from solar, 219.834 billion kWh in 2024 to 295.671 billion kWh, or a 34.5 percent increase. All that even with the 2009 EPA carbon endangerment finding being eliminated under President Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin’s leadership. And, as President Trump has encouraged data centers to bring their own electricity generation on-site, which is incentivized in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. To reach the President’s goal, then, every category needs to more than double, or else one or the other is going to have to carry the load. So whatever it takes, get more coal, nuclear, solar and everything else that has capacity to grow. As things currently stand towards doubling the grid, as President Trump warned in 2024: “We’re not going to be even close.” As Kirk would tell Scotty, we need more power.

Taking Away Solar Leases Won’t Save Farms. Productive farmland is a strategic national asset, and no one wants to see it disappear. The question isn’t whether we should protect farmland. It’s how. If Washington is serious about preserving working farms, it should focus on giving farmers more tools to adapt, not taking away one that can help keep their operations viable. Solar has become an easy target in the farmland debate. I get it. Change makes folks uncomfortable, especially when a familiar field on your drive home suddenly looks different. But what looks different from the road may be what allows a family farm to survive another generation. The facts tell a very different story. Solar’s actual land footprint is remarkably small. New analysis shows that solar energy occupies just 0.04% of total U.S. land and 0.07% of U.S. prime farmland. There is not a single state in America where solar is sited on more than 0.5% of prime farmland. In fact, golf courses use nearly three times as much prime farmland as solar, while ever-expanding suburban developments since 2014 use nearly six times more. For some landowners, a solar lease can provide reliable income that helps keep the rest of the farm operable and, more importantly, in the family. Taking that option away does not protect farmers. It limits them. America also needs more electricity. Keeping farms viable and producing more American energy are not competing goals. In many communities, they’re complementary ones. New manufacturing facilities, data centers, small businesses, homes, and farms all depend on reliable and affordable power. If we want to build things in America, compete with China, strengthen our grid, and support long-term economic growth, we will need more energy infrastructure, not less.
