@rvangucht Hij heeft het misschien anders geformuleerd in het interview. Gewoon jammer dat heel Vlaanderen het op deze manier leest. Zo komt het zwemmen (alweer) negatief in de media. Het komt er op neer dat een OS-selectie voor niemand evident is :-)
3/3 This week wasn't always easy, but the hunger remains & really looking forward to start working in the Olympic season! A big thanks for all your support, also in difficult times! & also @speedobelgium @sportvlaanderen for believing in me! I couldn't do all this without you!
2/3 I didn't swim the 100 fly to focus on the relay where we finished 13th (top 12 automatically qualified for Tokyo), but the team showed a lot of progress. This battle ain't over yet!
1/3 World champs came to an end for me. Unfortunately, I expected a lot more and trained way too hard for what I've shown this week. We keep on analyzing what went wrong during the semi final. The good thing: I qualified for my 3rd Olympic games during the heats! 🇯🇵
