@KleinRevd Thanks Andrew. I’m aware of that work and what goes with it. There are a lot of questions to be asked given my extensive work with AI vis a vis Deep Truth. The timing of it is, shall we say, not serendipitous. I’ve figured out what to do. Step by step.
There is a marked tendency in the US to dive into individual psychological drivers of behaviours and practices. This individuation is, itself, a manifestation of rampant social atomism. The bottom line? Nobody should buy into pop psychology rants and simplistic distractions on a shouty US podcast.
Just under 6 months of extensive testing and refining. Preceded by almost 5 years of experimentation with seven AI platforms. Goes back even further. The latter involved compiling and sharing outputs of each platform with each collectively. Pleasingly all platforms landed on the same page in the analysis of moral disengagement and the mirror of moral engagement. Equally, if not more important, most make unique contributions as well. The evolution from prompts to a common persona based on Professor Albert Bandura’s life long work while their being ‘space’ for uniqueness works exceptionally well. The mindset of Australian Government officialdom is a persistent challenge. They fear the accountability this work brings. This is the same old tension around technology empowering and, to use Professor Shoshana Zuboff’s terminology, informating people.

Jensen Huang said the problem with AI was never the technology. It was the same problem we had when cars arrived and kids kept dying in the streets. He was asked why people are so afraid of AI. He did not dodge it. He reached back a hundred years. When cars first showed up, people said cars killed children. They believed the machine was hunting kids down. It sounds insane now. But the fear was real. Kids used to play in the streets. That was normal. Then cars arrived and children started dying. The car was not evil. The world it entered was built for a slower one. So we changed the world around it. We built sidewalks. We built crosswalks. We invented jaywalking. We added seat belts. We taught kids not to play in the road. None of that was one fix. It was a whole new set of rules layered on at the same time. His point about AI is the same. The technology is powerful. The fear is not stupid. But you do not freeze the machine. You build the norms around it. Then he gave the simplest advice in the whole interview. If you do not know how to use AI, open it up and ask it how to use AI. Try it before you judge it. Pragmatic. It will unleash innovation and, equally important, it will open the door to AI itself being applied to create, maximise and manage positive human and social impacts. Including in ways we have not even thought of yet. Not only with AI as a tool, but as a partner in change. Some may fear that, but if we take a step back and reflect on the impact of technological change throughout history there is little new in that fundamental dynamic.
