@Gugo907 The fundamental reason is the DOE report of big builds of products,much larger than expected. Ease of geopolitics n Osp r triggers. However, bears be careful: the tension in Red Sea might push US to export more than ever, wch will reduce local inventories. #OOTT

@OchilTrader @robert__gibbons Not finger but from stats. The weeks before exports were 5,283mbd then 2,360mbd, which was extremely low and increased inventories in last weeks report. If the export were kept at 2,4mbd, the inventories would not be 6,2mb draw. #oott

@OchilTrader Those tweets are politically motivated. I think the housing market in China r very weak as well as exports however, they are shifting their economy structures to more advanced levels which I don’t know whether they could achieve but far from collapse #OOTT

@staunovo #oott 2/ End of July 2023 the Import heavily damaged by the weather, Storm to the coast from 24 July till beg of August. Import shud´v bn influenced. If we combined May, June n July, its 23%+ y/y

@staunovo #oott 1/ China's July figures are weak but need to remember: 1, Traditionally the least monthly imports was Feburary, which has 28 days, 2-3days less (10pct) than other months. June was the 2nd least import month.

@Trinhnomics -Jan Feb imports were ordered before Dec 22, when zero covid still in place -Covid peak happend in mid Jan, when most Chinese kept still -not sure what EVs sales will influence the consumption of oil, n to what extend Chinese economy will rebound while the outer world remain weak

#oott today we saw another huge Adjustment (2.2mbd), meaning 15.4mbs this week per EIA.Questions: who is gonna refill Reserves? the same as the reporter. Which element in EIA reports is easy to manipulate? Adjustment. I am wrong if DOE doesnt refill Rsv this n next week.

#oott market is fragile...Powels eagle trend met technical pressure area...Chinese data also not helpful but be aware that chinese changed covid policy in December n peak infection in mid Jan... todays customs data show only those deals booked before January.

@Gugo907 #oott last week I said if the net imports became less n adj became less, the stocks would be significantly drawn down. This weeks report shows very small net imports though adj still very high. Can expect very bullish figures in the coming weeks.

@Ole_S_Hansen #oott The builds were from the adjustments …more than 14mbs added. Net imports of crude (only 1.9mbd this week) n high gasoline demands if stay for several weeks, seasonally built inventories will draw significantly down.
