A technically of her mother giving birth to her in Newry hospital in NI, before going back to Dundalk, in the Republic after the labour, where she was brought up, doesn’t make her Northern Irish. It’s quite common, around border areas.

She’s not Northern Irish, no connection m, but taking advantage of the technicality to further her career & fair play.

@OldStationSt A fantastic athlete. She’s not Northern Irish is what I’m saying. As her wiki states “O'Connor, who was born in Newry, County Down in Northern Ireland, but raised in Dundalk, County Louth in the Republic of Ireland.” It’s a bit different to someone who was born & bred in NI.
