I have talked to number of Hindu Indians regarding Muslims in India and surprisingly even living with them for hundreds of years, they know nothing about Muslims and Islam in general.. Except the two Eids and Jumma, they are clueless of basic concepts. They don't teach about other religions cause people might start converting. I remember in elementary school we learned about all other major religions and no one converted. This transition from metal to advanced composites represents a major leap in operational capability, most notably through a weight reduction of approximately 1.5 tons from the original 25-tonne frame. This streamlined profile dramatically improves the vehicle's power-to-weight ratio, directly translating to faster acceleration, superior gradient-climbing, and enhanced amphibious and high-altitude performance. Beyond physical agility, the composite materials grant the #Vikram VT-21 a critical edge in modern, sensor-heavy battlefields by significantly lowering its thermal and electromagnetic signatures, making it much harder for enemy drones and surveillance systems to detect. Despite shedding weight, the vehicle makes no compromises on battlefield survivability. The new hull, reinforced with multi-layer composites and a ceramic add-on armor package, is engineered to meet or exceed STANAG Level 5 ballistic protection. STANAG 4569 Level 5 is a NATO standard for military vehicle armor that provides medium-caliber cannon fire survivability. It is designed to protect vehicle occupants against armor-piercing 25mm rounds, 155mm artillery fragments, and significant mine or IED blasts directly under the chassis. It features easily replaceable armor panels and inherently dampens noise and vibrations, offering vastly improved corrosion resistance and endurance for the crew inside. Furthermore, the modular nature of this composite structure ensures that the core design can be adapted across both tracked and wheeled variants, allowing the platform to serve diverse roles ranging from standard infantry combat vehicles to light tanks and command posts. Ultimately, the Vikram VT-21 project reflects a broader strategic alignment with modern global military trends, mirroring the use of composite materials in advanced platforms like the US F-35 stealth fighter and contemporary European armor. By integrating these hybrid structures with modern warfare capabilities, India is upgrading its mechanized forces while simultaneously championing self-reliance. By leveraging domestic materials and collaborating closely with private partners, the DRDO aims to achieve up to 90% localized content for the vehicle. This milestone not only bolsters the #Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative but also substantially reduces the Indian military's reliance on foreign defense suppliers.
