Source: DefimonAlerts. Solv's BRO-SOLV-20MAY2026 was drained in one Ethereum transaction for ~1211 ETH net profit. Important detail: this wasn't just "MEV magic." The core issue was a deterministic contract accounting bug that let value be counted twice.
Be careful with information from @OpenAI ! Today I was trying to write a bump bot for pump.fun and asked @ChatGPTapp to help me with the code. I got what I asked but I didn't expect that chatGPT would recommend me a scam @solana API website. I lost around $2.5k 🧵
🧵+12M in "stuck" crypto might be recoverable.
As long as the deployer nonce on another chain is not burnt and the private key is still around. The recovery mechanism is based on CREATE opcode in the EVM.
Special thanks to @pcaversaccio for help validating this finding.

@metaproph3t EIP-7251 is coming up in the Pectra hardfork - will allow validator sizes between 32 and 2048.
This will make everything around LST's way easier. Will also reduce bookeeping everywhere.
I think in hindsight, 32 only was a suboptimal choice. Fixing forward.
The dark forest just got a lot darker.
A few weeks ago, 0x991 frontran a seemingly private shezmu hack tx for 250 Eth.
Today the same bot frontran a private mev blocker tx, also for 250 Eth.
Someone's abusing private order flow.

Are you still using latestAnswer() in your Chainlink Oracle integrations? Time for an upgrade!
Here's what you need to know:
1️⃣ The Issue: latestAnswer() is deprecated. It doesn't error on no answer, returns 0 instead. Plus, it reports inconsistent decimals for crypto vs. FX quotes.
2️⃣ The Impact:
◽️Potential inaccuracies in price feeds
◽️Inconsistent decimal handling
◽️Security vulnerabilities if not properly checked
3️⃣ The Solution: Migrate to latestRoundData(). It provides:
◽️Latest answer
◽️Round ID
◽️Timestamp
◽️Answered in round
4️⃣ Best Practices:
◽️Implement heartbeat validation
◽️Add sequencer uptime checks for L2s
◽️Validate return data (e.g., check if round is complete)
5️⃣ Example Code Snippet:
6️⃣ Why It Matters: Keeping your smart contracts up-to-date ensures:
◽️Better reliability
◽️Improved security
◽️Access to the latest features
Don't let deprecated functions compromise your dApp's integrity. Update now and stay ahead of the curve!
