If you or one of your loved ones has Alzheimer’s disease, encourage them to wait for placebo-controlled, blinded trial data before they take any medication or supplement. These jokers who rave uncritically about what are probably placebo effects aren’t helpful to people with AD.
If you or one of your loved ones has Alzheimer’s dementia, encourage them to take 20 grams of Creatine daily. This study shows that cognition improved in just 8 weeks with the addition of creatine. It mixes easily with most liquids and is tasteless. Simple, cheap, and safe!

I would've expelled Antisocial Personality Dsorder from DSM-IV. Why? Its criteria just describe bad behavior/there's no treatment. But we had set such high threshold for making any changes, it was grandfathered in. Unfortunate because confuses distinction between bad & ill.
@AllenFrancesMD Genuine question: If the DSM considers antisocial personality disorder a mental illness, how can a distinction be made between mental illness and bad behavior? The same could be said for NPD in some cases.

The main issue is that unfortunately Donanemab and Lecanemab have very limited clinical benefit.
Donanemab is not recommended by NICE for cognitive impairment or dementia caused by Alzheimer's. This is due to limited benefits and high costs, including monthly infusions and intensive side effect monitoring, therefore it not good use for the taxpayer: nice.org.uk/news/articles/…
