Donald Trump's first 100 days have been characterized by the most flagrant corruption imaginable. Today, I want to talk about 10 of the absolute worst examples. (Thread 🧵)

The Democratic Party needs a major transformation. It can no longer be a top-down, billionaire-funded, consultant-driven party. It must be a multi-generational, multi-racial working class party. In a time of growing oligarchy & authoritarianism, that’s the only path to victory.

I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace. None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts. We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal. We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this. Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive. Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.

Trump's demands to Zelenskyy (the defender): 1) Formal apology 2) Give up the minerals 3) Hold elections even though Ukrainian law forbids it 4) Declare Russia as the non-aggressor 5) Give up all the temporarily occupied territories to Russia Trump's demands to Putin (the aggressor): Absolutely nothing. This cannot be stressed enough - Trump is allied with Putin.

It's only been six weeks and the Republicans are hiding from you. This is a sign that they know things going are not going well for them at all.

BREAKING: Justin Trudeau is specifically asked if he believes that Trump's tariffs are an Act of War. His answer is tremendous. "Canadians are not angry at the American people for this. We don’t have anything against Americans. Americans are our neighbors, our friends, our partners. We do things together, we’ve done things together for decades and generations. This is a policy decision by the American government (Donald Trump), designed to go after the Canadian economy. This is a trade war — yes. But Canadians are hurt, Canadians are angry. We’re going to choose to not go on vacation to Florida or Old Orchard Beach or wherever. We’re gonna choose to try to buy Canadian products and forgo bourbon and other classic American products. We’re probably going to continue booing the American National Anthem. I’ll sum up Trump's speech for those who missed it: He's raising costs for families with pointless trade wars. He’s slashing health care for seniors and families. He's going after the CHIPS Act and all the jobs it created. And he’s abandoning allies for Putin.

For 250 years, the United States has supported democracy. Now, in the middle of a horrific war that Putin started, Trump is turning his back on Ukraine and democracy, all to the benefit of a brutal dictator in Moscow.

Jon Stewart invited Elon Musk onto the Daily Show. Musk said he'd only do it if the show would appear unedited. Stewart and the Daily Show agreed -- calling Musk's bluff. Musk has now chickened out and refuses to go on the show.

Trump just bragged that he's saving the American auto industry. Ford CEO said that Trump's tariffs would "blow a hole" in the US auto industry.

This morning, a Member of UK's Parliament came right out and said it. Former gov't. minister Graham Stuart: “We have to consider the possibility that President Trump IS a Russian asset. If so, he is the crowning achievement of Putin’s FSB career. And Europe is on its own.” More people need to say this!

They’re lying to you. No tax on tips and no tax on overtime are nowhere in the GOP’s budget. The only thing they’re fighting for is cutting YOUR benefits to hand billionaires another tax break.
