“Wakefield contacted St Helens via the agent. We asked the agent if he wanted us to contact St Helens and he said no, I’ll do it.” You can’t talk to the agent of a player regarding a potential transfer when hems under contract, you need permission from the club first. What part of this is difficult for you to understand?
So Wakefield never made a direct offer to Saints. Powell admits they approached Robertson via his agent despite Robertson being under contract until the end of 2028. Has he just admitted Wakefield therefore made an illegal approach tapping a player up? At least he has now verified Saints statement that Wakefield have made no official bid. Stop talking about teams players under contract.

Wakey never made an official offer. Your coach has just admitted they discussed the transfer of a player under contract with his agent. That’s against the rules.
@RedVeeDotNet So what if a player is under contract. It isn't like we're wanting him for free. If Wakey offer 1m for argument sake and Saints turn that down then no issues they can do because hes under contract. But every player has a price and if Wakey want him its up to Wakey to pay up.

Completely different. The Cas player physically rolls Stephens over which could potentially make an unknown injury worse. No part of what Hastings does can do that.

rugby-league.com/uploads/docs/O… As per the wording of the operational rules, at no point has Hastings behaved in a way contrary to the true spirit of the game by ensuring Gardner is protected from unnecessary contact by getting over him and warning other players. He should be commended for his actions, displaying the true spirit of the game by looking out for an opposition player. Completely different from when players try to move injured opponents.
I sincerely hope common sense is applied as Jackson Hastings is clearly concerned about the welfare of Will Gardiner but there is a precedent to suggest this might lead to some disciplinary intervention. Would be ludicrous if so, by the way!
Hastings clearly sees how bad it is and gets over Gardner to protect him from being moved by any other player. classy from him and a natural human reaction
A massive grey area around that rule. Will Gardiner down and out and Jackson Hastings wants to try and help, but immediately has a second thought because he'd likely get banned. Waqa Blake also there telling nobody to touch (although he could be thinking for medical reasons).
