It doesn't matter what you believe that it is intended to do. What matters is what it DOES do, which is track the actions and movements of everyone within "eyesight" of the net of cameras, and turn all of that data into an AI driven searchable database. Just imagine how efficient this sort of technology would have made the Nazis, when they were busy purging all of their undesired people groups. They had to make do with manual systems designed by 3M, but tyrannical governments of today are being equipped to sort and manage people with the help computers. Even if you don't read history, and you trust governments, there's always the opportunity for foreign governments to target datacenters that store all of this information, to use it against us. The risks are tremendous, and all they have to do is tell you that it's worth it for the sake of catching some car thieves or a guy driving to another state for weed. 🫤

It just keeps rubbing wrong on the back of my brain, reminding me of how 3M helped streamline the tracking of people by the Nazis. It all gives me the ick. No one ever learns from history and does better. It's like they look at an evil idea, and dream up ways to just do it harder.

@CollinRugg These women keep saying insane things like this as if they’re speaking for all women. It is absolutely NOT normal/excusable to feel this way. It is the BARE MINIMUM as a mother to NOT murder or hurt your child/ren. The bar could not be set lower, yet here we are. Unbelievable.

I think that the mistake here might be in drawing attention to your wardrobe choice, just because it gives people the impression that you want their opinion on what you're wearing. If you love some wide leg trousers and a casual top, that's all good. Once you open up the room to chatting about your choices though, there's always going to be ... that person. In someone's eyes, there's always an outfit that is too casual, too showy, too whatever. When it doubt, I may run an outfit by my husband, but the general population online?? Never.

It's not my *finest* coping mechanism, but sometimes I just have to sit down with some blocks for a minute, and chill myself out while the washing machine is running. I've got a crap ton of things to get done this week, and am feeling a little 😬overwhelmed, but instead of being an absolute crazy lady... I'm gonna just craft and mine until my blood pressure returns to normal. lol This new dappled forest biome is absolute fire. The gradient on the blocks, at the edge of the biome is a thing of beauty. I like this so much better than the pale forest biome, which just looks like color-blind depresso dark oak biome. I wouldn't be sad if the folks with Minecraft would overhaul that biome and put just a wee more effort in to making it a good sort of spooky, with more variety.
