I am working with kids this summer while volunteering and I have come to understand something I had no idea about before. I always assumed that people who took jobs involving little kids must love, or enjoy, little kids. It's sometimes quite the opposite. There's a whole cadre of adults who take jobs working with little kids because they enjoy the feeling of having power over defenseless tiny people.
