What a wild wonderful day at Mercedes-Benz World. We brought all our cars up from Goodwood to show hundreds of guests and customers some unexpected track action. I’m so very grateful to and proud of my whole team. We pitched the idea at around 11pm, and by 7am everything was in place. Everyone jumped in. We put on a great show, rustled up some fabulous hospitality, and our guests, VIPs and customers saw the very best of Mercedes-Benz. Seeing the Sauber-Mercedes C9 lapping our customers in C63s was brilliant. Seeing the team pull together was joyous. If you came along today to join in, or were surprised by what you saw, thank you. Back to Goodwood tonight and m’colleagues will be on track with these tomorrow.

An early example of @SamuelsonWylie doing daft things with cars: liberating the Golden Arrow from Beaulieu and towing it through Knightsbridge steered by @BBC_TopGear’s Sam Philip in his first job as a motoring journalist. Bloody terrifying for all concerned, as I remember.
