@daviddownie17 No particularly no, and again I didn’t say how good he was I just took exception to your reasoning for saying he was shit. He’s not shit he’s a decent young English striker. Who I think would suit us currently quite well, but not for 50m

@daviddownie17 I’m not clutching at anything. Just pointing out how you’re doing that little twist to confirm your own bias. I’m not particularly arsed, just baffles me when I see opinions like this when I have to watch Thierno Barry every week

@daviddownie17 In two transfers, again using the words to suit your argument. 30m which everyone said at the time was a bargain. Then somehow 50 which was too much. 80 million makes it sound worse tho doesn’t it.

@daviddownie17 So that means he’s shit? Even the season he scored 12 league goals for a relegated team?? You’re not considering anything aside from stats. If that’s how you see football then sound. I prefer to use my eyes

@daviddownie17 Don’t think I said overthinking it. I said you’re going overboard to prove your own point. I think you are wrong yeh. To suggest being a striker is all about goals is ridiculous

@daviddownie17 Haaland can be carried at city and told to stay between the sticks. If he played for forest they would be asking him to do what Delap and wood do, and do it better mind. Completely different situation. You’re simplifying it way too much.

@daviddownie17 There’s your problem then and where us not agreeing comes from. If it’s just goals you’re after then I don’t know what to say. To say all that matters is goals is just ridiculous mate. Especially in the team he’s plays for.

@daviddownie17 So all that matters is goals? Don’t talk soft. He scored 12 in a relegated side in his first season as a premier league player, he can score. Does that season not count or something????

@daviddownie17 You’re equating goals to ability. The context is the team he’s playing for, where he’s playing and what’s being asked of him. That side we dont know

@daviddownie17 I respectfully disagree whole heartedly. Was being played on the wing at times for Chelsea and barely got a sniff.

@tonywardle10 @daviddownie17 Teams who play one up top isolated like that have to have forwards like that for me. Wood does the same thing.

@tonywardle10 @daviddownie17 I agree with that. But I don’t think he’s a soft touch, gave Gabriel a lot of problems yesterday through sheer effort. I like forwards who are up for a battle, too many soft touches nowadays. Haaland and Igor Thiago are like that. Not saying he’s in that class but he tries.

@TheGaryLambert Put that perfectly mate. No desire to create chaos. Plugs on doing the same or similar. Worst thing for me it didn’t feel that way for the first 4 months when he first come back. Slipped back into the normal since
