The @CityofCT does not see value in an NMT network. Road network, rail network, but no proper planning & priority for NMT.
Day-Zero of congestion has come a bit early than we projected. @activeforumcpt It’s time to take NMT serious.
Connected public transport ; buses & trains. Fully-separated cycle lanes. It’s all been proposed before, but the city believes in more roads.
It’s going to get worse and no extra lane can fix it. Solution is investing in NMT and increase public transport capacity. @activeforumcpt has shared a number of solutions with the city on this problem.

@TableMTB The City definitely has the appetite for such continuous cycle lanes, as well as pedestrian facilities, adjacent to general traffic lanes to serve as an alternative.

Cycle lanes can be built anywhere; and they get used. This is just before the morning rush hour into Munich. 17km commute. @CityofCT - got the will to attempt anything like this?
