@chase_8bitroots Physical prints cost money, and a lot of the best Indies were made on the budgets of whatever the creator could afford to do-without for a while. Which is virtually nothing. They can't "afford" to make their games as is, how could they afford a real physical release too?

PS - I do have a couple games on steam that have/had physicals at the time I bought them. Sometime I didn't know (Crow Country) Sometimes I already have the physical but wanted a copy to play on deck and it was cheap (ME Trilogy, $5) sometimes the physical is OOP/unattainable.

To say it's unrelated is an understatement and I'm not sure how to explain that to you as it seems self-evident to me. Owning a game doesn't mean you own its trademark and can freely use it for commercial purposes.

@HCGSHOW Seen somebody on facebook marketplace last week selling Parasite Eve 2 for over 200 bucks. Thought "There's no way," cause I recall the game being like... 20-30 dollars for the longest time. I feel like I looked away for a second and everything changed. He was right.

@evileboxyboo PC is definitely a different landscape. Steam owns the lion share of the sales but they don't own a monopoly. You have other options. A console without physical is a monopoly on game sales. And that's only 1 of the problems of a digital landscape there.

I literally haven’t bought a physical game since 2014 so I’m not sure why people are so upset about this. I also have steam and it’s just like using that ? lol
