Die Wurzeln dieses Wortes "wahr" liegen im indogermanischen "*wēr-", das wahr oder vertrauenswürdig bedeutet. Es ist eng verbunden mit den Konzepten der Vertrauenswürdigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit. Es bezog sich auf etwas, das als verlässlich, echt und glaubwürdig angesehen wurde.
Das Wort "schwelgen" geht auf das althochdeutsche "swelgan" zurück. Dieses Wort findet sich auch in anderen germanischen Sprachen mit ähnlichen Bedeutungen, wie im Altnordischen "svelgja", was "schlucken" oder "verschlingen" bedeutet.
Aber man kann auch alles zu nichts abstrahieren.
