im just hearing about android ( @Google ) NOT IPHONE, literally saving millions of lives potentially in Venezuela before the earthquakes with built in sensors then sending alerts to other androids down path of shake in milliseconds WOW, @Apple , ....really? god bless the #usa !

Same flight, same delay, same mess — new number. On their books it was never "cancelled," so the auto-refund never fires. The DOT paused enforcement until June 30, 2026 — then decides whether to make the loophole permanent.

Your airline cancels your flight. By law (2024) they owe you CASH back, automatically. So the airlines found a workaround: they don't "cancel" it anymore — they just change the FLIGHT NUMBER. And the DOT is letting them. 🧵
