@marc_slans @JBierne I’m not sure I share Zuck’s certainty on the ROIC if all this capex, but if you’re a bull and a LT shareholder you should be applauding him for sticking to his convictions in cap allocation instead of acquiescing to market sentiment.

@gnufs Buybacks are value accretive in a business so long as the buyback rate exceeds the rate of decline, such that per share earnings and cash flow continue to increase. It’s indeed hard to execute, but not impossible.

@compoundpapi Yes I think in the long run we will get there on vapes. A bit worried pouches will follow a similar arc, where at some point the rapid adoption triggers policy backlash that then creates an illicit category.
@compoundpapi Hohn is a hardcore philanthropist. Probably fails his ESG standards. Regulatory risk in this category also highly underestimated. All it takes is one moral panic like vapes in 2017 for the tide to turn.
@kristinnsms Do we know the valuation on the put option Joday has? Even if it does force CSU to acquire the interest, if it’s at an attractive valuation I fail to see why that’s a big risk.

@realroseceline This is my biggest source of consternation with $CSU. Although the company is performing great today, it likely won’t be for a few more years until the impact of AI on the business is truly well understood.
@marc_slans Agree with point on regulatory risk. The other major deficit is that it is the Mark Zuckerberg show - the man is young but not immortal. Also not the kind of guy with the humility to train capable successors. Not to mention the dual class share issues. Lot of key man risk.
