@treebelly1 @johnage @RichardHills_ It was an AT page - I presume the Planned Rail Closures page, but I can't tell now as it is constantly updated. It was updated again in early December when Christmas/Boxing day were added.
@johnage Martinus in particular. They've redesigned the actual rail hardware too, as well as the ways to install them. I've heard Titan is a subsidiary of UGL - as id Auckland One Rail, so there might be some collaborative gains to be made.

@johnage @CityAklccrg Yes, the curves just before the platforms will go up from 25km/h to 40km/h. The CRL tunnel will range from 40-70km/h depending on the curves. Britomart tunnel is already 70km/h, but with turnouts at each end the only time you go over 30 is heading to the Eastern Line.
@johnage @dalespittle I think it'll be concrete slab track from Quay Park Junction all the way to Mt Eden by the time the CRL opens.
@johnage @dalespittle Most of the Britomart tracks were normal ballast and sleeper style. Only the complex turnouts were slabbed. Cheaper and more versatile - it has enabled the track layout between the tunnel and platforms to be rearranged a couple of times.
