@ChrisSmolinski I usually find yellow jackets underneath the eaves of my house. I don't think your bowl would work very well there. I have found a product called EcoSmart. It kills wasps on contact and is harmless to pets and children. I saturate the nest and that's that.

I think that's a very oversimplified version of Chinese history, at least from what I have read. When Mao died, China was at a crossroads. His wife wanted to continue his revolutionary policies. Deng wanted reforms including limited capitalism (communism with a human face). Deng won the power struggle in a bloodless coup, and Mao's wife was removed from power as one of the Gang of Four. Today, while remaining a one-party state, China is communist in name only. Theirs is a state directed capitalist economy, complete with stock markets. I seriously don't think China wants conquest. They want to be left alone. Every Chinese citizen remembers the Hundred Years of Shame, and this unites them as something they never want to see again.

@EVCurveFuturist @sachzaus Digging up the lithium is the first step. Refining it is the second. China gets most of their lithium from Australia. McDermitt, on the Nevada Oregon border, has the largest clay lithium reserves on Earth. I would not bet against Elon Musk or his ability to expand refining.

I find it interesting that there's a need to stockpile lithium at all. America has some of the world's largest reserves, and Elon Musk has already figured out a better way to process it. China cornered the market the same way they did with rare earths: they undercut on price because of lower environmental standards.

Yes, there is this thing called "SUMMER", and they have been getting progressively longer, hotter, and drier. My state's BLM is no hotbed of liberal ideology and they track these things. Those forests do not grow back "greener" because the summers are still longer, hotter, and drier. When the forest does not grow back greener it is called desertification. Look it up. Houses in forested areas were built decades before the effects of warmer, longer, drier summers became an issue. You really shouldn't blame people for not having better crystal balls. You do indeed get hurricanes on the coast and those become more powerful as the oceans become warmer. Global warming affects everybody. How much the warming is human caused and how much is normal global cycles is a subject for legitimate debate. The fact of global warming is not.

I carry a Glock 23. 40 caliber. Hollow points. I remember two officers in Chicago who carried 9 mm. They were attacked by a person on PCP. He took three shots the coroner ruled were fatal. He took their guns and killed them before he died. If I am forced to shoot somebody I want to completely stop the attack.

"massive grid advantage" The Semi is supported by Megapacks, and Tesla makes more of those than any other company.
