@bcherny Why do all these posts mention "We ported x to y"? That's an easy task, (almost) every decision already made. That's not understanding. Sure these models are good at that. Will even spot bugs. But models are not even clearly above average at making design decisions. Crap shoot.
@dr_obbs (How) do you think Mercedes HPP managed to tune their ice for less power than RBPT but just over 2% less power? Can they do that by just looking at the other teams’ performance in pre season testing and the practices of the first races? That seems unlikely to me. Luck or skill?
@mikko@AISecurityInst Though impressive and unpleasant, would you characterize this as a creative sequence of unique or highly adapted steps to achieve a goal or this this a mere reproduction of steps it knows from somewhere or has seen in its training. Is it transfer/problem solving or reproduction?
I don't know, everything Opus 5 and Fable 5 did for me today was just plain terrible and esp. horrible decision making. It just did very many things in a very stupid way. Clear regression.
@mikko@Osinttechnical That game was disallowed for German under 18 because it was considered “jugendgefährdend”(distribution was disallowed). The ban was only lifted in 2010 … when it expired (BPjS now BzKJ, “auf dem Index”)
@bcherny The way how the cli schedules its subprocesses/agents seems either too optimistic or broken and error prone. Any way to generate a log from this? Yes, most recent linux cli build.
@RosarioGiuliana Previous years it was better having a high performing ICE with reliability issues (reliability fixes allowed). For ADUO it's better to have a more reliable slightly less performant engine. Was that always clear cut with the new regs? Wondering whether RBPT optimized wrong way.
@davidfowl@aspiredotdev Is there any particular reason the dashboard nuget package itself is not packaged/annotated as a dotnet tool? It does run directly from its nuget package. And its incredibly useful even without any aspire dependency😀github.com/dlosch/aspire-…
@gvanrossum In my understanding a more complex orchestration layer with boatloads of logic to gather, create, manage, store, condense context. Has builtin tools and logic for its task (for example, to index a codebase if it's a coding agent).
@eastdakota Based on my experience, “asking the right questions”, “understanding problems”, “understanding (business) problems”, “distinguishing between problem and symptom” hasn’t been affected that much if any?
