I’m excited to announce our $40M Series B, led by @AmplifyPartners with @kleinerperkins, and @Theoryvc. After knowing each other for 10 years and meeting in our freshman year in college, Cheng Han and I came together in 2021 to solve the massive problem with blockchains - the data was fragmented across hundreds of chains and unusable at scale. Today, we manage 30+ petabytes of blockchain data that serves as the onchain system of record for institutions like Visa, BCG, and major banks and asset managers. A lot has changed since our Series A two years ago: → Revenue grew 10x → 150+ enterprise customers → Visa and BCG built their stablecoin dashboards on Allium → Data cited by research institutions from the Fed to Stanford Since we founded Allium 5 years ago, blockchain went from retail speculation to institutional infrastructure for 24/7 settlement, programmable payments, and tokenized assets that trade like equities. Allium went from 3 people in a room to the data layer leading institutions trust to operate onchain. And today we’re coming out of stealth, announcing our $18.5M seed funding, co-led by @CRV and @AmplifyPartners AI has nailed objective domains and made it easy to generate anything. But it still feels off. Now, the challenge is judgement. What fits, what feels like you, what’s GREAT. This requires turning a fuzzy, subjective domain into something we can measure and codify. We’re starting with design. There are two sides to cracking this, the foundation model layer and the agent layer: - We’ve already been working with the top frontier labs to evaluate and improve their models, crafting the right post-training data and RL environments. - We’ve also been working with app-layer companies to build the context and verification tools for their agents to produce better, more on-brand, more creative outputs. I usually think of it as the context built by people that runs a business. It’s all the accumulated decisions, workflows, judgment, and know-how that make a business work. The mistake many companies are making is assuming AI creates value on its own. It doesn't. AI amplifies value that already exists. The real asset isn't the model. It's the decades of knowledge, expertise, and ingenuity your people have built. That's the context that shouldn’t be trapped in people’s heads. AI and your people both need access to it, and to learn from it so that people can decide what to do next.
