@luckylefty371 @John_Mehaffey The 2 times I have stayed there I enjoyed my stay. But what I valued was that it was a bit of a respite from Fremont Chaos and yet close enough to partake of the Fremont Chaos on my terms.

@allenanalysis That and the perceived value isn't there. Parking fees mean you probably play near where you stay and Resort fees and overpriced buffets (if they still exist) and restaurants probably figure into it. They are now competing against every major city in the country.

. @CityofOceanside Is there any possibility that some or all of the fence panels on the South side of the pier could be replaced with shorter sections? I'm seeing lots of folks standing on benches(fall hazard), not to mention people from out of town commenting how ugly it is.

@TravelFanboy My last two trips I found El Cortez to be just fine. When I finally want to sleep, being a bit off the loudness of FSE is valuable. Also Orleans, Main Street Station, Harrahs, and I haven't stayed there in years, but Strat was enjoyable.
