New project. New challenge. 🚀 A friend recently reached out to collaborate on building a multi-tenant platform. It'll push me into areas to learn Street Play is at a stage where I'm preparing it for staging, so while I'm gathering feedback from testers, I'll be building this🫰🏾

I spent a while debugging my Google Auth callback while preparing Street Play for staging. The code wasn't the problem. My local network had been hiding the actual issue the whole time. One small change to the redirect URL... Everything worked. 😂

So far, I've implemented Google signup and login. The interesting part was handling the Google signup flow. Instead of immediately creating the user after the Google callback, I temporarily store the user's information in cache. I then generate an encrypted key and redirect the user to a temporary screen on the frontend. The key is sent back to the server, decrypted, and used to access the cached information. The user is then created and a token is returned to continue the registration process. The user can then select their user type and complete registration. Facebook is something I wanted to add as well, but I'll have to revisit that integration later. Social login follows a similar flow, while forgot-password uses the usual OTP verification process. That's the authentication flow of Street Play for now. Welcome to the main functionalities. 😂🙌🏾

Happy new month guys! 🙌🏾 Let's get to the technical part already. Let's start with the Auth flow, right? That's the gateway to every product 😂, So basically, I'm following almost the same flow you'd expect, but with a few things I wanted to do differently. The platform has 4 different user types, and each comes with its own roles. We'll get to that later. When a new user gets to the platform and tries to sign up, the first thing I collect is their basic information: name, email and password. I then save this information in a temporary registration table. I actually learnt and loved this idea from someone here on X, so I decided to implement it myself. After registration, the verification email is queued and sent to the user. Once the email is verified, the user's information is moved from the temporary registration table into the main users table. The main idea behind this is to avoid filling the users table with unverified or abandoned registrations. After verification, the user chooses their user type and completes the rest of their registration by adding their image and other relevant information, and basically updates the users row. Every product has a story. Here's how Street Play started. Last year, Street Play wasn't even called Street Play. It was just another backend project. I wanted to become a better backend engineer, so I started building APIs around football competitions. Nothing more than a project to learn, experiment, and improve my skills. Then something changed, I attended the final of a local football competition with a friend, The atmosphere was incredible. The quality of football surprised me. There was so much talent on that pitch. Later, I visited another stadium and noticed something interesting. These competitions happened regularly, but most of the records were still being kept on paper. Player history, match records, and performance data were still difficult to access or simply disappeared over time. That made me think. - What if local competitions had better tools? - What if every match contributed to a player's story? - What if talented players had a digital record they could point to instead of relying only on word of mouth? At that point, it stopped being another backend project, It became a product. I spent the rest of last year planning, and in January I started building what is now Street Play. The journey has taught me far more than I expected. I've learned new technical concepts, solved problems I hadn't encountered before, and gained a much deeper appreciation for building products rather than just writing code. Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more about Street Play, the features I've built, the challenges I've faced, and the vision behind it.

This week i proceeded with moving to 1hr timeframe as thats what i used for researching. I logged in to my demo trading account and im seeing my first trade, and it went on to hit tp within 10hours yeasterday🙌🏾🙌🏾 But one slight error was found, honestly while testing lastweek i wasn't even concerned of trades that hit tp or sl, i was more concerned of it looping through the market and not breaking. Well, account balance from 70k, took profit of 7k, i would leave it running till december and i would be dropping updates once in a while!!!. byeeeee👋🏾👋🏾
