I don’t remember saying anything like that, and I don’t know why helping a country rebuild after you spent decades destroying it and stripping its natural resources to the point that the soil erodes and becomes less fertile would be colonialist? Seems more like paying back what one took.

The U.S. also exploited the hell out of Haiti from 1915-1934 and kept interfering for a long time after. The U.S. also propped up the brutal Duvalier regimes, and the Duvaliers kept Haiti poor and killed many people with their U.S.-trained troops. JFK tried to help, but that help was curtailed by his assassination.

@ValmereTheory I don’t think it’s morally okay to wipe out anything with a self, and that wants to persist. To add to the moral calculation, I’d also be taking him away from those that love him. A threefold sin.
