I do not know who will care about what I am saying, or how many people are still willing to listen, but I am saying this clearly: what remains of life in Gaza is collapsing before our eyes in a terrifying and heartbreaking way. Gaza is not collapsing because of bombing alone, but because everything that makes life possible is shutting down. Water stations are stopping, hospitals are shutting down, and medicines, medical supplies, and diagnostic equipment are scarce. Schools have become shelters, and education has almost completely collapsed. Tents no longer protect anyone. In this heat, they have become suffocating places. Sewage enters them while diseases spread. Garbage is piling up, fuel is running out, and vehicles are stopping. Factories and businesses have been destroyed, people have lost their livelihoods, and universities have been reduced to rubble. Production has become almost impossible. You cannot manufacture anything without raw materials. You cannot repair what has been destroyed without spare parts, or rebuild without construction materials. We are trapped in a cycle that forces us to remain consumers, waiting for whatever is allowed to enter instead of producing what we need. Three years without electricity, and three years of fear and deprivation. Even basic needs, such as prosthetic limbs, crutches, medicine, and medical equipment, are difficult to obtain. The hardest part is that we are becoming used to the collapse. Every day, something else stops working, and the space left for life becomes smaller. This is not a temporary crisis. An entire city is losing the basic conditions needed for life while the world watches. People here are simply trying to survive. We do not need the world to remember us after the catastrophe. We need the world to act now.
