Claude has become a pretty central part of my workflow. Not to replace thinking, but to extend execution. I still do the research, define the direction, question decisions and shape the experience. Claude just helps me turn ideas into something tangible much faster. Execution gets superpowers.

That’s the part I find exciting about data visualisation. It doesn’t always have to be about finding the clearest chart. Sometimes it can be about curiosity, interaction and storytelling; turning information into something you discover rather than something you’re simply shown. Just experimenting :)

Everest felt like the perfect dataset to experiment with. Altitude, time, routes, expeditions, and the people who never made it back. Instead of treating those as rows in a table, I wanted the mountain itself to become the interface. You explore the data by exploring Everest.

That’s what I find exciting about the web. It doesn’t have to be a page explaining that A was influenced by B. You can build a world where A and B actually coexist. A reference can become a room. A product can become part of its architecture. An influence can become an interaction. All can become part of a potential customer experience. @patmcgrathreal

I’m interested in what happens when references stop living next to each other on a moodboard and start living inside the same space. Dalí’s room becomes the environment. The lipsticks become objects within it. And suddenly the reference becomes something you can explore.

What happens when an influence finds its way back to its source? Pat McGrath has long drawn inspiration from Dalí and surrealism. So I put her MatteTrance lipsticks inside Dalí’s Mae West Room. Not as a collaboration. As an experiment
