Building beamflow.co taught me one thing about adtech:
"Transparent" is not a feature. It's a relationship to data that most of the stack doesn't have.
Trade Desk's new app-ads.txt and sellers.json requirements went live three months ago.
I look at hundreds of ads.txt and app-ads.txt files a week through Beamflow
If yours has more than one AdMob or AdSense line, I haven't seen one without a problem. Not one.
Expired resellers. Wrong relationships. IDs that don't match to sellers.json
AppLovin MAX is killing the waterfall on July 16.
A year ago I got advised to run waterfall and in-app bidder in parallel on GAM, same inventory.
Sounded nuts. Did it. Revenue jumped.
If you haven't tested bidding yet, you've got two months. Better to learn under control than under deadline.
Is SPO just a buzzword nobody actually does?
I scan ads.txt, sellers.json, and schain across hundreds of thousands of domains. Errors everywhere. Wrong DIRECT/RESELLER, dead SSPs still listed, missing schain, seller_type mismatches.
Pulled this from one of the top sites this morning. 84% of bids ship without a supply chain. On a Tier 1 publisher.
I sometimes see a 30% bid CPM difference between requests with a clean schain and ones without. And still nobody seems to care.
Who here actually cares about SPO? Or is everyone just talking about transparency without acting on it?
