It’s time for the U.S. DoJ Civil Rights Division to investigate the WNBA. The league’s repeated failure to protect Caitlin Clark is unacceptable. Closed-fist throat shots, uncalled flagrants, and a clear pattern of targeting the league’s biggest star. This raises serious questions of a hostile work environment, race-based disparities, and potential civil rights violations. Clark has grown the league,she deserves real protection, not selective enforcement.

Lifetime Ban Minimum! Where are the prosecutors? Where is Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears? Where is Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita? Athletes accept a certain level of contact when they step onto the court. That's the legal doctrine of implied consent. But implied consent is not a free pass for intentional acts that go far beyond normal play. No one can legally consent to a felony assault. When conduct crosses the line from aggressive competition to an intentional, potentially criminal act, it deserves more than a league review or a short suspension. It deserves a serious legal review. If the evidence shows this wasn't simply part of the game, then prosecutors should explain why criminal charges are—or are not—being considered. At the very least, a lifetime ban should be on the table.
