We gave OpenAI's new GPT‑6.1 Sol 100 pull requests with known vulnerabilities and an hour per PR in the @BugBunny_ai VulnPR‑100 benchmark. It found 40 for $39.66. That still trails GPT‑5.6 Sol, which found 50, but GPT‑5.6 Sol cost $281. So GPT‑6.1 Sol gives up 10 findings while cutting review cost by roughly 7×. It's also a small improvement over GPT‑6 Sol: one more vulnerability found at 15% lower cost. The raw security-review performance hasn't returned to GPT‑5.6 Sol levels, but the Sol line has become dramatically cheaper to run. Open-weight models still set the price-performance bar, though: mimo‑v2.6‑pro found 46 for just $8.27.
GPT-5.6 Sol, Luna and Terra are listed as "Unlimited*" usage on the Pro plan page. It looks like OAI are giving unlimited (*with fair usage) use of those models to balance out this change in pricing. 5.6 Sol and Luna X-High are two of my fave models so this could be great!
