A way out? Perplexity-style apps provide arenas to pit (user-chosen) AIs against one another in multiple rounds. At the end of a given session, competing chat engines could be invited to enhance their reputation by making related wagers in Kalshi or similar prediction markets.

A path to avoid this doom loop? Breakaway billionaires, or crowdfunding drives, set AIs loose on launching communities worth joining. Bots in such startup societies keep governance free and trustworthy, and deflect or defeat intrusions. Land values there grow to the degree that dystopian threats appear in other areas. Dividends from rising ground rents in the safe haven are shared with all. It’s antifragile. Areas that turn into “bot-enabled Edens” can seed and spread others as they prosper.
