Imagine 1941, when German aircraft were bombing British cities, Europe was under the Nazi boot, and Churchill was desperately trying to save his country from Hitler's onslaught. And then, at that very moment, US President Franklin Roosevelt suddenly announces that the main problem is not Hitler, who is occupying foreign territories and killing people, but the stubborn British, who simply refuse to agree to a peace deal. Worse still, they keep bombing German industrial facilities, damaging the economy of the Third Reich and creating difficulties for international trade. The American president is terribly outraged. After all, his voters need cheap fuel, the economy needs stability, and he himself needs good approval ratings. So instead of helping Britain, he calls Hitler, negotiates the supply of German goods, proposes easing economic restrictions, and threatens to cut Churchill off from weapons and intelligence unless he stops destroying German industry. And to finally persuade the Führer to come to the negotiating table, American mediators even propose returning some of Germany's frozen state assets. All in the name of peace, naturally. And, of course, for the sake of the American economy, which should not have to suffer simply because some stubborn British people refuse to surrender. Now try to imagine what history textbooks would look like if Roosevelt had actually behaved this way. What if he had called Hitler a wonderful negotiating partner, demanded that Churchill surrender territory, and simultaneously tried to convince Americans that Germany needed to be allowed to make money because otherwise it would refuse to make peace? What if, instead of Lend-Lease, Britain had received an American ultimatum: stop bombing German factories because we need to lower prices before the elections? What would we say about such a president today? Would we call him a brilliant negotiator who was simply protecting his country's economic interests? Or would we say that, for his own benefit, he was helping the Nazi war machine while simultaneously depriving its intended victims of the means to defend themselves? Fortunately, history took a different path. Roosevelt secured the passage of the Lend-Lease Act, and the United States began providing massive assistance to the countries resisting Hitler even before America formally entered World War II. But today, watching Donald Trump's actions, I increasingly find myself wondering what Europe's fate would have been if a politician with the same attitude toward aggression, human lives, and personal profit had occupied the White House back then.

No one is this stupid to believe this right?

@CordellBaker12 To many bots.

@nicksortor He just can't stop lying. It would have been nice if Biden and others gave Ukraine missiles when the war started.There would have been a good possibility the war wouldn't have lasted 1 year. Unfortunately they gave the minimum just before Biden left office. To little, to late.

@PetrenkoAndryi He believes it worked once will he attempt to stage another fake assassination? Of course he will. He still knows there are still a few stupid people that will fall for it again.

When you vote in the mid-terms vote for what makes sense. America vote for health care. Don't let trump take it away.

El-Sayed: J.D. Vance was just in Michigan. He had a cute little rally in Monroe. He invited the five people who like him. But imagine being the candidate for Michigan and having to invite somebody from Ohio to campaign for you. Now, at his little rally, he wanted to raise questions about my commitment to America. And let me tell you, nobody understands how deep and profound the gift of this country is like a kid who was born here but for the accident of history that allowed that to happen. I got a front-row seat to what my life might have been had I not been born in America. So don’t lecture me about America. I know America. And I know that in America… In America, we’re big enough to guarantee health care to our people rather than taking it away. In America, we’re big enough to invest in unions rather than busting them. In America, we don’t tell people what to believe. We value their beliefs. In America, we don’t question the outcomes of democratic elections.

@Acyn I guess Vance knows that from experience. That's is what he's been doing since he became V.P.

@MaximumJules I understand 5 states are in talks to become provinces of Canada.

@PlotnerRic54175 The wasn't a billionaire. Better check again.

Elon Musk has finally met the requirements and provided the list of shareholders of "X Holding Corp" who helped the billionaire buy Twitter. And who do you think turned out to be investors in the X platform, besides Islamists and the Trump lobby? That's right, Petr Aven and Vadim Moshkovich. Now it's absolutely obvious where Musk's love for Russia comes from and where the "filters" for anti-Russian publications grow from. Let me remind you who Aven and Moshkovich are.

The Washington Post released the names of all the donors for Trump’s ballroom. Where is that money, and why are taxpayers now going to fund a substantial portion of his ‘bunker’ that has risen from $400 million to $800 million? Trump LIED once again saying no taxpayer money would be used. 🤬 Donor list in comments.
