AJATT quarter life crisis be like: Learn Japanese for like 12 years since age 13 thinking the whole time how you need to move there, and then actually moving there and after living for 18 months and having your life settled down wondering if Japan is the right choice 😂 😂

I like how it says *prioritizing* and not completely replacing grammar & vocab drills, because I still think people like to unnecessarily discredit grammar studies. Also the fact that it says *comprehensible input* and not *immersion* 👌

@laidbacklang The effective learning of English by p much everyone is a very good argument in favour of prioritizing comprehensible input over grammar drills, vocabulary flash cards etc #langtwt

There’s a fair number of people I know who have a perfect understanding of Japanese but no interest or knowledge in wider pop culture outside of anime and manga. Which is fine, but it does mean that a lot of references in the same anime and manga they consume goes over their head

@shumi_4 @LangLearnHub I don't think the strictness of Korean & German word order are that different. The verb generally goes in a fixed place, but other than that I feel like you can move stuff around fairly well 🤔
