"How can I be sure the agent gives me the same answer today as in 2 weeks?" was a question I got from a client recently. If you're just using an LLM in your agent, the answer is "You can't". But modern agentic architecture introduces "holds" that help you ensure consistency and accuracy. E.g., evals, specific tool calls, etc. In our case, we have pre-defined most queries the system makes and then vetted those, so that the numerical results are consistent. Jeff Bezos famously said, "Your margin is my opportunity". I say, "Your non-closed loop is my opportunity". A closed loop is a system in which you are certain that the customer receives monetary value from your product or services, because you can measure it. If you can measure it, you can continuously improve it. AI Voice Mode togetehr w/ good across-session memory has been a real unlock for me. That means I can keep complex conversations w/ "Tom" about systems design, UX, documentation, positioning, and GTM tactics related to my business. I've been very lucky that almost all the folks I've done business with have been honest and have become great partners. I've had a couple of close calls through. For example, I did a deal w/ two entrepreneurial founders. I had a good feeling about one of them, and that something was off with the other dude. We structured the deal so the guy who gave me the bad spidey sense got most of the upfront money, and the other guy, whom I really liked, became an exec in my biz with more upside. The one who continued with me made millions in the process, and the other went to jail a few years later (from an unrelated business deal that went sour). #entrepenourship #trust #cienai #robertkall

and because they had money to begin with, and did not have any debilitating handicaps that prevented them from making money. all those things change the odds of you getting rich. So it could go from 5% to 90%. Then the lottery turns. And sometimes the 5% guy gets rich (happens 1 in 20 times). and sometimes the 90% guy goes bankrupt.

2026 is the most exciting year in tech in my career. I started as a developer and got pretty good at it. Then I was a CTO and dealt w/ servers and scaling (less exciting for me). Then I became a CEO, moved into business deals, team building, and selling. Fun but also frustrating because you're now so far away from the product. W/ Claude Code and CODEX I am now able to make a meaningful impact by building product again. I can talk to a customer and identify a problem in the PM, and have a solution done the next day. Controlling access to your time as a startup CEO is a constant struggle. You have the most context and can quickly resolve issues and connect dots. So it's tempting to make yourself avialble 100% of the time. I have found that to be a mistake. Especially in 2026, when all of a sudden I can again make a big impact on product and quality (due to Claude Code and CODEX). My mornings are for me. The most useless Agentic prompts I've seen were all beautifully formatted, using fancy terms and included "best practices". But they sucked. Because instead of being developed with the context of the tools and knowledge at hand, they were created by an LLM that had no way of verifying if the instructions made sense and produced the right outcome. Closing the loop means you see the impact your action has - some AI is starting to do that, but for most of the AI work, you, the human, still have to do that part. #Agentic #Prompting #CienAI #RobertKall

@andrewgwils On specific tasks, yes. CODEX write a better bubble sort algo than me. To see the big picture and actually do the right things on a macro level, no. CODEX does not know how to create an excellent outcome for the user of our system. That skill is so critical.
