Today teachers chose their destinations, planned for a trip, and listed all the things they need before they travel. Then they linked this trip-planning to Backward Design and figured out how effective planning with the end in mind can be! @makdawhaschool #professionaldevelopment

I have learned a lot this semester about STEAM education. I have integrated VR headsets into my classroom instruction. ART, ENGINEERING, and TECHNOLOGY all integrated into one system. VR allows my students to do things that would be impossible otherwise. #STEAMSPMS #STEAMTEAMS

@DrCABerry @butterfliesblue I don't think that one size fits all & treating all kids the same way is not the correct choice. I wanted my kid to have homework in K-12 because I knew she was going to college. I finally gave up on asking the teachers, and got her workbooks & made up problems for her myself.

This week at Augusta University, we learned about Design Based vs Place Based Learning. I hope to integrate what I have learned into my lessons next semester. #STEAMSPMS

We received our Meta Quest2 last week at SPMS and the kids loved it!! It is the ultimate in integrative STEAM education because it is so versatile for all subjects. #STEAMTEAMS

Ford has published 3D printer compatible files that can be downloaded and used to print accessories for their trucks at home by Ford owners. I think this will be the wave of the future in do-it-yourself mods. This is an example that I printed. #STEAMTEAMS

We got our new Grow Wall installed and going in our STEM LAB. So excited to see how the students plants will grow. #STEAMTEAMS

The students in our STEM engineering class worked on a problem based collaborative project called "Saving Sam". It is a neat project to teach the kids teamwork and problem solving skills. This is the link to the activity. sailingintosecond.com #STEAMTEAMS

#STEAMSPMS This is a cleat that fits the Ford Maverick near the usb charging ports. It is used to wind and store the charging cable when it isn't in use. It was printed at our school with a digital file that Ford provides to their customers for self service mods.

I got to visit the STEM LAB yesterday at the PCSD training center. They have a lot of high tech gadgets to use in the classroom to keep the kids engaged. #STEAMSPMS
